How Are You Saying It?
You know that expression, "It's not what you say but how you say it."
I know many people who have cool backrounds, phenomenal education, and talent that seeps out of every pore of their epidermis, but they can't communicate it in an exciting way that keeps the listener engaged. You know the ones I'm talking about. The ones at a social gathering that just bend your ear about all they've done and accomplished, while you're thinking, Why me?
How important is "how" you say it?
DO THIS:
Mute your speakers. Click on the video below (if you can't see the video, click on the link below.) and watch the video. After viewing it with no sound, crank up the volume (I said CRANK!) and watch the video again.

Advertisers know how important the "How" part of saying it is. Heck, if you listen to the words in the IZOD commerical you just saw, it says nothing about the products. But it's cool... and who doesn't want to be cool!?!?
Work on your presentation skills and you'll be amazed how presentation sometimes makes up for lack of experience and education. After all, if you're not presenting it in an interesting way, how will you hold the interviewer's attention? And worse yet, why would they want to hire: boring?
